I was very busy yesterday and forgot to post this. So here is yesterdays Throwback!
Last summer, 2012, I joined my church on a trip up to Spokane, WA! It lasted throughout the weekend. It was such a wonderful time, I thought why not share this! There ended up being 14 of us going. 4 adults and ten kids. One the first day, we all pilled into the three cars we had and headed long the Columbia River Gorge and up into Washington.
Our first stop we made was to a museum. Above are a few pictures of a couple of us in the museum. It was a great historical museum. That was the last time we stopped and saw each other for the next 7 hours.
It was a very long car ride, but it was peaceful. We ended up playing a few games, like Apples to Apples and Mad Libs. When we were finally some place in Washington, we stopped for pizza. After we then headed over to Athol, Idaho. Yay, another hour long drive, not. Once there, we set up camp (our rooms) and stayed over night.
The next day, we headed over to Silverwood theme park. It is known as the largest theme park in the North West of America. It was very large theme park I must say! We arrived around 10 a.m. and were let free to go any place we liked inside. First, me and a few others headed to all the water rides there was to offer. Once we were all soaked we stopped with the ride to cool off in the heat. Everybody ended up decided to head over to the large water park they had. Me and my friend Melissa though, decided to go for a walk and see what this place was all about.
We walked back and forth four times. Each time took an hour! By the second hour we headed out to find everyone. It took us another two hours until we finally found them!
After dinner we all went off to rides and relaxed as the sunset. At 8 p.m. we all decided to head back 'home'. Sadly, as I mentioned in other post, I didn't get a tan or even a sunburn from the ten hours in the sun! How sad.
The next day, we all pilled back up in the cars and headed over to Spokane, WA for our church conference. We got an introduction that night. We stayed in Gonzaga University, not to mention we all had our own dorms and room mate! Which for me, ended up being not one roommate for three. All use girls couldn't stay away from each other and go straight to sleep!
The next day, we got up early and all headed for the conference that was being held all day for us. It started at around 7 a.m. (not too sure about that) and went all the way until 10 at night. Here are some pictures of us that day:
The next day we all went to church in the morning, ended our conference, packed up our things and headed home. I had a wonderful time with everyone and made some pretty good friends along the way. The car ride home I must say was a bit boring. I slept the whole way home!
So that is all! Please follow and leave a comment bellow if you are doing throwback Thursdays with me!
